Darby Allin will defend the AEW World Championship against Maxwell Jacob Friedman on Sunday at Double or Nothing in a hair-versus-title match at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens. A loss by Allin would return the title to MJF for a third time. A defeat for MJF would require him to shave his head.

Allin won the championship last month by defeating MJF. The victory marked his first reign with the world title after earlier successes that include two TNT Championship reigns and a tag team title with Sting.

Allin stated that the match in New York offers the chance to show the Seattle victory was not a fluke. He added that the outcome will also allow him to take a portion of MJF's hair.

The pay-per-view is scheduled to feature multiple bouts at the Queens venue. Allin described the style of AEW events as unpredictable and high-impact for first-time viewers.
