Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski threw the seven fastest pitches by a starting pitcher in the Statcast era during a 6-0 victory over the New York Yankees on May 8, 2026, at American Family Field. The 24-year-old right-hander topped 103.6 mph and struck out 11 over six scoreless innings. Shane Drohan pitched three scoreless innings for the save.

Misiorowski threw seven pitches of at least 103 mph in the first inning and three more later. All seven rank as the fastest by a starter since Statcast began tracking in 2008, with three others ranking ninth, 11th and 12th. He extended a perfect game into the seventh inning in his second major league start.

Misiorowski carried a no-hit bid through 5.1 innings in his previous outing against the Washington Nationals and five no-hit innings in his MLB debut last year. His major league career, which began less than a year ago, includes victories over 2025 National League Cy Young winner Paul Skenes and three-time Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw, plus a 1.50 ERA over three postseason appearances last year.

Misiorowski attributed his velocity to adrenaline. "You start getting hyped up and you want to perform for your teammates," he said. Brewers manager Pat Murphy said: "Miz is interested in being great. And he's in that process of being great."
