MJF wins third AEW World title at age 30 in main event
Maxwell Jacob Friedman defeated Darby Allin in the main event of AEW Double or Nothing in New York City on 25 May 2026 to capture the AEW World Championship for a third time.
The match took place at the conclusion of a Memorial Day weekend event in Queens. Allin had regained the title from Friedman more than a month earlier. Mick Foley appeared before the show and addressed Friedman directly.
Friedman joins Lou Thesz, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, John Cena, Shinsuke Nakamura and Kazuchika Okada as wrestlers who have held a world title at least three times by age 30.
Kevin Knight attacked Allin while he was being removed from the ring on a stretcher. Knight is scheduled to address the incident on the next episode of Dynamite.
